What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a senior technical sourcer to recruit for Manufacturing Engineering for Optimus and Manufacturing Engineering organizations.We hire the talent responsible for developing next-generation products, automating manufacturing lines, and the "machine that builds the machine."Recruiting at Tesla is challenging; hiring timelines are often compressed but the work is exciting and impactful to our mission.

This role is 100% onsite in Fremont or Palo Alto.


What You'll Do
  • Utilize AI-powered tools along with traditional sourcing channels to identify and engage top Manufacturing Engineering and Automation Controls talent at scale
  • Design innovative sourcing strategies focused on automation, robotics, smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 talent pools
  • Build proactive talent pipelines for Manufacturing Engineers, Controls Engineers, and related technical roles across global markets
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand complex technical requirements in automation systems, PLCs, robotics and production processes
  • Execute advanced multi-channel searches using Boolean, X-Ray and AI-enhanced platforms to locate specialized engineering talent
  • Drive high-impact candidate engagement through personalized outreach and recruitment automation technologies
  • Analyze sourcing metrics and talent market data to optimize quality of hire and reduce time-to-fill for critical engineering roles
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in smart factories, industrial automation, IoT and next-gen manufacturing technologies
  • Implement process innovations using AI to streamline sourcing for hard-to-fill controls and manufacturing positions

What You'll Bring
  • 2-5+ years of sourcing or full-cycle experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, facilities engineering, or construction engineering is preferred
  • Proven background in using creative research and sourcing methods to hire for niche areas and difficult roles
  • Ability to create and maintain a healthy relationship across all functions of the company
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and under significant pressure with challenging deadlines

    Expected Compensation
    $84,000 - $168,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
