A diversified, growth-stage public alternative investment firm investing in credit opportunities and special situations is seeking a Treasury & Compliance Manager to join its finance organization. This is a high-visibility role operating across regulated, operationally complex business lines, with direct exposure to audit, controls, and senior leadership.

The Role

This position owns the full cash management and treasury lifecycle, beginning with Fleet Operations and expanding into consolidated treasury, cash governance, forecasting, and audit support across all business segments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations; investigate and document variances
  • Manage complex multi-system cash reconciliations across operational platforms and ERP systems
  • Resolve timing differences, posting errors, and data quality issues to ensure accurate close
  • Track outstanding checks, deposits in transit, credit card processors, and operational cash flows
  • Reconcile tolling systems, driver platforms, credit cards, and cash-based workflows
  • Prepare audit-ready treasury documentation and support external audits
  • Maintain and enhance SOX-aligned cash controls and approval frameworks
  • Coordinate with banks, payment vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage sales tax payable reconciliation and accuracy
  • Produce weekly cash reporting and support 13-week cash forecasts
  • Improve treasury SOPs through automation and process optimization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4-6+ years of experience in treasury, cash operations, or accounting operations
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Strong bank reconciliation and variance investigation expertise
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of consolidations, intercompany accounting, SOX, and internal controls
  • Experience leveraging AI or automation tools for reconciliation, anomaly detection, or reporting
Preferred
  • CPA or CPA-track
  • Experience with payment processors, ETL tools, or bank APIs
  • Exposure to transportation, fleet, or logistics environments
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., Jet Reports)
  • Background in fraud detection or treasury risk management
