Job Summary:
About the Dispatcher position: The Dispatcher position is in the Division of Facilities Planning & Management's (FP&M) within the Department of Transportation Services. Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. The primary functions of Transportation Services include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options. The Dispatcher plays a great role in Transportation Services' success. This role will be assisting permit holders and campus visitors by responding to inquiries related to parking through the intercom, twoway radio, and computer platform, providing clear, professional, and efficient service with every interaction. The Dispatcher will also collaborate with key campus partners, including UWPD, Special Events, and Field Services, to ensure smooth and safe transportation operations across campus, occasionally. In addition, the position will participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities designed to support career growth and strengthen operational expertise. Ongoing/Renewable Full-Time: 100% FTE Hours generally scheduled 12:30PM to 11:00PM Fridays through Mondays. Occasional nights, weekends and holidays may be required for this position.
