Field Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Field Engineer for a contract position with a Major US Airline located in Atlanta, GA. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves providing on-site operational support for IT infrastructure across various environments including offices, reservation centers, and airports. The successful candidate will handle install, move, add, and change (IMAC) requests, diagnose technical problems, and provide excellent customer support during field visits.

Responsibilities:

• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Document processes and accurately document solutions related to complex issues
• Collect and analyze performance data to provide technical assistance
• Tie workflow to schedule
• Create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved
• Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to software and setup errors
• Build positive relationships with customers

Requirements:

• Ability to deinstall/install IT equipment quickly and safely
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Experience in large IMAC moves on a tight time frame
• Ability to follow test script to verify installation is correct
• Flexibility to work overnight shift if necessary
• Ability to use a ladder
