Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support screening and access control processes in accordance with site instructions and post orders.
• Work in collaboration with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and/or local first responders while following all applicable post procedures, reporting requirements, and equipment protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
