Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and visitor management protocols at a tech, media, or telecom location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or approvals, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other access-related activity in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts and completing detailed security-related reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.
• Assist with emergency response activities, support crowd and visitor flow during busy periods, and help communicate post instructions, restricted area requirements, and site rules to staff and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
