Job Description




As a Security Officer Evening Patrol Rounds in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing entrances, checking credentials when required, and reporting unauthorized or suspicious activity to designated personnel.
  • Support daily operations by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
