Security Officer - Convenience Store

As a Security Officer - Convenience Store in Santa Fe, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for customers and staff. This role blends patrol duties, strong communication, and customer service while reflecting Allied Universal values of reliability, teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entry points, parking areas, receiving zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor foot traffic, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards in accordance with post orders.
• Support opening and closing activities, assist with access control for restricted areas, and provide visible presence to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
