DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the continuity and quality of nursing care and services for all patients in both the civil and forensic areas of the hospital, ensuring full compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requirements. You will manage and coordinate the delivery of nursing care and treatment and ensure that all nursing policies and procedures are effectively implemented and consistently followed. Responsibilities include developing and updating policies and procedures, as well as supervising Registered Nurse Supervisors and their teams. You will assign and review work, evaluate performance, approve schedules and leave, and participate in recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates and making hiring decisions. Additionally, you will assess staff training needs and support the labor relations coordinator by administering labor agreements, investigating grievances, and applying disciplinary actions when appropriate. You will also actively participate in labor relations meetings to support effective workforce management. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch and on-call time. You may also be required to work weekends.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Registered Nurse Supervisor or three years as a Registered Nurse Instructor (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration) in a facility providing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; or
- Six years of professional nursing experience, which includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration. A master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration may be substituted for up to one year of the required general professional nursing work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability.
