Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 1:00pm
MON TUE WED THU FRI 11:00am - 4:00pm
Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-time Manufacturing Quality Assurance Support, you will perform inspections and other quality related functions at the facility. Inspections will be done using basic tools such as calipers and micrometers and more sophisticated equipment such as CMM's and Optical Comparators.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

oPerforming inspections on machined and cold formed product

oAssisting machinists with special inspection practices

oMaintaining a clean and organized quality control area

oImproving key performance metrics such as on time delivery and non-conformance rate

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

oExcellent written and oral communication skills

oProficient computer skills

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

oDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

oLift 40 lb boxes on occasion and 10 lbs routinely

oWillingness to stand for extended periods of time

oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

oPrior work experience in inspection tools and equipment

oAbility and experience reading blueprints

oExperience working in an ISO 9001 or TS 16949 environment

Fastenal offers a 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $18/hr -22/hr. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
