Description

HDT, the world leader in the design and manufacturing of highly engineered integrated products and solutions for military, government, industrial and commercial customers is looking for a hands-on Engineering Intern. This position will develop Environmental Control Units (ECUs), heater systems, and chemical biological, radiological nuclear (CBRN) protection equipment that will be used every day by our brave warfighters and emergency responders.

Primary and Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Gain practical understanding of the role of an engineer in our industry
  • Actively learn and adhere to our Engineering Playbook and best practices/procedures
  • Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
  • Gather and assembles data for engineering projects
  • Perform design analysis and/or calculations under supervision of engineers
  • Assist with design details
  • Completes assigned tasks on time and on budget while meeting technical requirements
  • Supports other projects and performs other duties as assigned


Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:



  • HS Diploma; Must be enrolled in a BS Engineering or Engineering Technology program at an accredited university
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
  • Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
