Overview

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally recognized energy efficiency consultancy that collaborates with clients to develop and implement transformative programs and initiatives promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building across multiple market sectors in the United States and globally. These initiatives aim to reduce energy costs, improve health and safety conditions in buildings, and contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveFinancial Analystto support the financial performance and management of various programs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in financial tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with program management teams to provide actionable insights and recommendations. This position requires a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in financial processes.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and establish financial workbooks and reports in Deltek and Power BI to track and monitor program financial performance.
  • Perform financial and expense comparisons by analyzing profit and loss statements and prepare reports with findings and recommendations for program management.
  • Provide business development analysis and monitor business performance by region or group.
  • Apply financial concepts such as rates of return, budgeting, and income statement analysis to complete tasks and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with program management to provide financial outlooks, evaluate risks and opportunities, and enable informed decision-making.
  • Manage budgeting, invoicing, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates.
  • Generate labor and cost reports to ensure accurate tracking of program finances.
  • Track accounts receivable and evaluate risks and opportunities to financial outlooks.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with professional experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial tools such as Deltek and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior relevant experience with program finance.
  • Experience in business development analysis and monitoring financial performance.
  • Considered experienced but still eager to learn and grow professionally.
