Accountant Our growing technology client is seeking an Accountant to join the finance team and help scale the accounting function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys broad exposure across accounting operations, optimizing processes, and supporting the full accounting cycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role reports to the Controller and offers opportunities to work closely on GL accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and process improvements. This is a hybrid role but only accepting local to Atlanta candidates. Responsibilities General Ledger & Financial Accounting Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Lead month-end close activities and support timely, accurate financial reporting Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, variance investigations, and special projects Process Improvement & Controls Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency Maintain strong financial controls and organized, audit-ready documentation Support preparation of schedules and reports for audits, tax filings, and external partners Accounts Receivable & Payable Own AP and AR including customer invoices and timely billing, maintain accurate AR aging and reporting. Monitor invoice workflows, resolve discrepancies, and recommend process improvements Collaborate with internal teams to enhance billing and payment operations Requirements 2-5 years of accounting experience (corporate or public accounting) Strong experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close Familiarity with AR/AP processes and ability to optimize workflows Experience with accounting systems Strong Excel skills and comfort with modern productivity tools Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Bachelor's degree in Accounting Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
