My client, a reputable healthcare company in Norfolk, VA, is hiring for an ED Patient Access Tech! Job Description: * Currently the patient registration techs in the ED are divided into 3 areas and they will be trained on all areas: * Quick Book - this is the most basic patient registration when they walk into the ER. They will get the patient name, DOB, basic demographic info to get them checked in. There is no insurance verification at this point - they will go straight to the triage nurse to go over systems. * Minor Care - This is bed side registration for patients that should be in and out pretty quickly. Bed side registration includes -insurance verification to confirm active policy, co-payment collection, authorization data entry and billing inquiry functions. Responsible for accurate data collection, documentation, and data retrieval with computerized systems - getting the rest of the demographic info needed * Main Treatment Area- this is the same process as minor care however these are for more serious patients - full registration * They also have mental health registration, which they are seeing alot of recently Qualifications to Apply: * Have to be able to work in high volume and high pressure environment * Patient access experience * Epic preferred * Scheduling * Patient registration experience APPLY NOW!!!!
