Starting Hourly Rate is $18.20 + shift differential

Essential Functions:



  • Performs a variety of manual and machine assisted duties for both inventory purposes and shipping and receiving purposes: Loading, unloading, transporting, separating, counting, collating, inserting, inspecting, packaging, weighing materials, recording materials, and grouping pallets of completed product and preparing them for shipment or inventory purposes.
  • Accurate order fulfillment for Work in Process (WIP) materials management
  • Proficient and effective use of MDI's inventory system (KANBAN).
  • Safely operate and maintain all warehouse power equipment, and perform a safety check on all power lifts and battery hoists on a daily basis.
  • Obtain and maintain fork lift certification through MDI training programs.
  • Effectively transports re-grind material within facility.
  • Complete and document pre-shift operation checks and participate in battery charging program.
  • Complete all required documentation.


Qualifications:



  • 6 to 12 months or greater operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.
  • Ability to read, recognizes, or understands new assignments with only general instructions.
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
  • Satisfactory completion of a drug screening test.
  • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.


Environment and Physical Demands:



  • 10 hour shift, typically Monday-Thursday. Work during non-traditional hours may be required. Schedule modification may be implemented by Operations Manager.
  • Works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, odors and temperature fluctuations.)
  • Specific vision is required.
  • Frequent repetitive motion of the upper extremities, including continual flexion and extension of the wrists.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
