What to Expect
Tesla's FacilitiesCommissioningteam is looking forControlsProject Manager tolead teams through scoping, scheduling, execution, and close out ofInstrumentation and Controlscommissioning projectscopes. Theideal candidate will have a strong background in Instrumentation & Controls Project Management with experience managing contracted and internalI&Ctechnicians in an Owner/Operator environment. In this role you willbe responsible fordesign coordination, procurement coordination, arranging new contracts, scheduling, budgeting, risk management,setupand execution of projects in addition to supporting the Commissioning and Facilities Operations teams to ensure deliverables are met. This role requiresexpertise with various instrumentationand controlsdevicesand BMS, DCS, PLCor SCADA systems,as it pertains to a variety of HVAC and process fluid systems. Candidate will haveexceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively support multiple teamsacross different sites. This role has a travel expectancy of20%-30%.
What You'll Do
- Leadfull lifecycle delivery ofcommissioningI&Cprojects and manage all phases throughdesign,estimation, scoping,scheduling,execution, and close-out
- Manage the onboarding andday to daydirection ofcontracted support
- Manage communicationsregardingschedule, budget, and progress updates with key stakeholders
- Establish and developtechnical documents,pertaining toscope, budget, schedule, and execution strategy for assigned scope
- Establish a risk trackingprocess anddrivethe team and stakeholders to action risks to acceptable levels
- Support the Operations andCommissioningteam in managing varioustoolssuch ascompletionsmanagement software, Management of Change, workrequestsand others
What You'll Bring
- Experience in project management withstrong background in all aspects of project managementincluding;scheduling,estimating,budgeting, issuing request for quotations, drafting Scope of Works,procuringvarious contracts,onboardingand managing contractors
- Technical backgroundwith detailed understanding of design deliverablespertainingtoinstrumentation and controls,commissioningof devices and systems,understanding ofFacilities operations in R&D, Industrial or Manufacturing environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to understand complex problems anddistillthe message into a clear plan
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure with a willingness to adapt andleanout existing practices
- Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Project), Primavera P6, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Cloud, BMS Systems, SCADA Systems
