Position Summary:

Under close supervision,operatesbench-type or floor-mounted machines (e.g.drill presses, grinders, broaches, screw machines, manual and CNC mills and lathes, shrink-wrap machines, saws etc.) within production operations.Operation isroutine and repetitive.

EssentialJobFunctionsInclude:

The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks ina timelyand efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, anddemonstratinginitiative inidentifyingadditionaljob-related tasks to be completed when time permits.

  • Perform machinist duties as assigned using standard procedures, tools, materials,machinesand equipment in a fast-paced work environment while meeting all established production expectations and deadlines.
  • Follow well-established guidance from specified process instructions, blueprints, andcommunicatedinstructions from other team members.
  • Implement the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities, including evaluatingunusual vs. ideal and usual quality based on finished product sound,vibration, temperature,operationand appearance.Inspectparts andproducts to detect andidentifypotential defects, anomalies, surface quality non-conformities, and other forms of observable physical or structural product quality deficiencies usingpersonal observations in conjunction with inspection,measuringand calibration devices.
  • Operate machine while loading and tending runs of parts, or performing one-step operations on individual parts, including making simple machine adjustments and running one or more machines as directed or requested.
  • Collaborate withWarn Automotiveleadership and team members during team meetings, system reviews, safety meetings, and other forms of problem-solving discussions to further define and improve department strategies designed to meet and exceed qualityobjectives. Participate meaningfully inWarnAutomotivesafety activitieslikeR3, Safety Committees, Safety checklist/audits, team Safety projects, etc., as directed or requested.
  • Serve as a role model for and mentor less experienced or newmachinists on machining process, responsible and efficient time management, commitment to exceeding quality and production expectations, professional and respectful communication, and safe work habits.Train othermachinists on process and procedure as directed and provide necessary follow-up and guidance to achieve professional developmentobjectives.
  • Complete special projects and otherduties asassigned to meet team, department and organizational goals while activelydemonstratingaccountability and responsibility for achieving desired outcomes andmeasurableresults.Special projects and assignments may include, but are not limited to, (a)rotatingthrough all stations ofmachiningwithinthe assignedteamto provide necessary support and coverage as directed, as well as an assignment torotate to another team as requiredto meet production requirements, (b) writing or updating training manuals, and/or (c) offering input during Warn Automotive selection process.

Availability Requirements:

Due to the nature and scope of the essential functions of this position, the importance of personal interactions with coworkers andemployees, and the availability of job-related tools, equipment and resources at work, performance of the essential functions requires regular, consistent availability, accessibility, and presence on-site and after-hours.

This is a full-time position.First-shift days and hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm.This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.

Education and/orExperience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months' machining experiencerequired.

Pay Range: $20.39 - $26.10 per hour
