Solution Consultant, Principal - (Workforce Management) Technical Presales Architect

The Principal Solution Consultant (Workforce Management Technical Presales Architect) is a senior, highly specialized member of the WFM Solution Consulting team who possesses deep technical, architectural, and functional expertise across Infor's Workforce Management (WFM) solution. This role elevates the SC practice by serving as the technical design authority during sales cycles, building complex proof-of-concept configurations, and ensuring solution feasibility across integrations, extensibility, and multi-product workflows.

The Principal SC partners closely with Solution Consultants, Sales, Product Management, Services, T2V, and Alliances to deliver technically rigorous, high-impact demonstrations and "art of the possible" prototypes that differentiate Infor in competitive pursuits.

This individual plays a critical role in shaping deal strategy, mitigating technical risk early, and accelerating customer confidence in the Infor platform.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes:

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Serve as the technical expert for WFM during sales pursuits and design end-to-end solution architectures across Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Labor Compliance, and related Infor platform components.
  • Build and deliver demonstration environment and advanced proof-of-concepts, including:
    • Complex pay rules and labor logic
    • Multi-team and union scheduling models
    • Custom data tables and automated job-scheduler tasks
    • Groovy Script extensions for customer-specific scenarios
    • ION workflows and integrations across Infor and third-party systems
    • Scenario-based demonstrations with tailored customer requirements
  • Provide architectural and configuration guidance to SCs to ensure demo consistency, scalability, and reuse across industries.

Sales Cycle Engagement

  • Translate discovery findings into technical solution designs that address customer requirements and highlight differentiated WFM value.
  • Participate in RFP responses, discovery workshops, feasibility assessments, environment design, and technical deep dives.
  • Lead or co-lead technical portions of scripted and unscripted solution demonstrations, executive briefings, and workshops.

Cross-Functional Strategy & Collaboration

  • Work directly with Product Management and Development to influence roadmap priorities and escalate patterns seen across customer evaluations.
  • Partner closely with Time to Value (T2V) to develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, integrations, scripts, and dashboards for the WFM SC community.
  • Collaborate with Services and Partners to validate implementation feasibility and ensure smooth prospect-to-customer transitions.

Team Enablement & Practice Development

  • Act as a technical mentor and multiplier for the broader SC team, providing coaching, best practices, and configuration support.
  • Contribute to shared demo repositories, architectural patterns, enablement content, and internal training materials.
  • Lead sessions on integration design, extensibility frameworks, Groovy scripting, and advanced configuration strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience owning end-to-end demo environment builds - architecting reusable, scalable frameworks. Experience building tailored, scenario-specific demos based on live customer discovery input.
  • Experience with hands-on configuration of Scheduling, Timekeeping, Pay Rules, Leave, and Mobility modules - end-to-end. Experience with Pay Rule Engine: rules, conditions, and exception handling logic.
  • Experience building Custom Form Studio configurations and custom reports.
  • Experience writing and applying SQL filtering within DBLookup configurations.
  • Experience with Groovy scripting.
  • Understanding of client data tables and how they underpin WFM configurations
  • Experience designing and implementing integration workflows connecting WFM to HCM, Payroll, and FSM platforms
  • Experience with at least 2-3 of the following industries: Healthcare (including floating/agency logic), Public Sector (union, leave compliance), Retail (availability, scheduling patterns), Hospitality (dynamic staffing), Manufacturing.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or solution architecture roles.
  • Deep understanding of Infor WFM modules: Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, and Labor Compliance.
  • Strong ability to present complex technical concepts to executives, business users, and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cross-application solution architecture across Infor and third-party systems.
  • BI and analytics experience (Birst, AWS Quicksight, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple high-complexity engagements with minimal direction.

Location: US Remote (Alpharetta, GA; Dallas, TX preferred)
