CDL - Class B Richmond, VA Pay : $25.00 per hour 26-02265 Position Overview We are seeking a reliable Class B Driver to operate a 2024 Freightliner flatbed (automatic) delivering construction materials. This role involves 90% driving and 10% warehouse support, including staging and loading materials. The longest delivery route is typically 2-2.5 hours. Schedule Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Overtime: May be required Drivers may occasionally work through lunch depending on delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities Deliver materials according to daily delivery schedules. Safely transport construction materials to customer locations. Ensure materials are properly secured and within legal weight limits. Unload or assist with unloading materials at delivery sites. Obtain customer signatures and ensure delivery tickets are completed accurately. Pick up customer returns and verify products match credit requests. Pick up local purchase orders when required. Communicate with supervisors throughout the day regarding deliveries and issues. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards. Fuel and maintain the assigned vehicle. Report accidents, violations, defects, or vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately. Return all delivery documentation to the warehouse and ensure accuracy. Provide professional customer service while representing the company. Assist with warehouse tasks such as staging and loading materials when needed. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and uniform requirements. Support company programs, goals, and operational initiatives. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) CDL must have been held for at least 1 year Minimum 1 year of experience driving Class B vehicles Required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Forklift experience (sit-down forklift preferred) Comfortable using smartphones or mobile apps Additional Information Daily scheduled warehouse deliveries Mix of local driving and warehouse duties Responsibilities may vary depending on branch operations and management needs #ZR
