VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG's proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations and financial transactions to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. This role provides professional accounting leadership and financial guidance to internal stakeholders by establishing, implementing, and enforcing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. The Accounting Manager supports management decision?making by delivering reliable financial information and analysis, while ensuring effective coordination with our LG Electronics Headquarters in Korea and external auditors.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee day?to?day accounting operations, including general ledger, period?end closing, and financial statement preparation
  • Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS/K?IFRS, and LGE global accounting policies
  • Monitor accounting transactions and resolve complex accounting issues related to business operations, customers, and vendors
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to management, including the Team Leader, Local CEO, CFO and our LG Electronics Headquarters in Korea
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce accounting policies and procedures in alignment with LG Electronics global standards
  • Conduct internal control reviews and support internal audits to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements
  • Identify control gaps or financial risks and recommend corrective actions to management
  • Serve as a primary accounting contact for internal and external auditors and coordinate audit?related requests and documentation
  • Plays a key role in credit management activities, particularly for Auto OEM customers, requiring strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and existing customer credit files
  • Analyzing customer financial statements and performing credit risk assessments
  • Implementing and enforcing credit?related policies and procedures
  • Providing timely credit limit increases based on sales forecasts and accounts receivable collection plans
  • Performing monthly, weekly, and quarterly credit limit simulations in collaboration with the Sales Manager and AR Manager
  • Communicating with LG Electronics Headquarters and LG Electronics Vehicle Solution Company Business Risk Management Team to support credit insurance and OEM customer credit preparation
  • Collaborates with the appropriate Korea?based headquarters teams, including LG Electronics Headquarters in Korea for credit?insurance matters and LG Electronics Vehicle Solution Company for vehicle?business?related coordination.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Required:



  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in accounting and tax
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both English and Korean to support collaboration with cross functional teams locally, regionally and globally
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, holidays or non?standard hours during critical month?end closing periods or when business needs require
  • Ability to travel up to 5% (domestic and international)


Preferred:



  • At least 2 years of credit management experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
