Hydrovac Operator-HO0326

Interested in hydro-excavation and are well-versed in operating vacuum or hydrovac equipment? Sanders Brothers Construction is looking for motivated individuals to support our underground vac/cam operations. In this role, you'll use specialized excavation equipment to safely expose underground utilities, support water, sewer, and storm drainage projects, and contribute to essential infrastructure work throughout the low country region.

Duties

  • Operating vacuum excavation or hydrovac equipment to safely expose underground utilities
  • Assisting crews with water, sewer, and storm drain installation projects
  • Driving and positioning vacuum excavation trucks when required
  • Performing daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Preparing work areas by establishing proper safety controls and identifying hazards
  • Participating in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
  • Completing required company, regulatory, and project documentation accurately


Qualifications


  • Valid Class A or B CDL required
  • Experience operating vacuum excavation or hydrovac equipment preferred
  • Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred
  • OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, and Fall Protection certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended hours when project demands are required
  • Willingness to travel locally and overnight occasionally to project sites
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
