Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Area Patrol in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help reduce security-related incidents through timely presence and rapid response. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and support a professional environment with strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and/or public partners as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate observations and actions to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree with 60 college credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
