Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Kirksville, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a Food and Beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor check-in, and coordinate deliveries while monitoring activity for security-related concerns. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds near access areas, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate check-in areas.
• Coordinate with receiving and shipping teams to manage truck and delivery access, verify appointments and documentation, and route drivers to designated staging and loading areas.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems for unusual activity; report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and document actions taken per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with evacuations and/or shelter procedures, and completing detailed incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
