As a Security Officer - Flex Pedestrian Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist guests and store teams with directions and concerns, and document and communicate observations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail store and mall environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying site leadership and/or law enforcement as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, entrances, and the surrounding mall perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and other policy violations.
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity and potential hazards, complete incident documentation, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives.
  • Support loss prevention and store operations by observing customer traffic patterns, assisting with access control to restricted areas, and supporting opening and closing procedures as directed by site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
