Location: Onsite Jacksonville


Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm rotating on call shifts



What work will you perform?


As a Cargo Loss Prevention Analyst, you will serve as a key point of contact for cargo-related safety incidents and play an important role in protecting the integrity of freight moving under Landstar's network. In this role, you will help reduce incidents of cargo damage, theft, or loss by supporting investigative efforts, analyzing incident trends, and promoting preventative practices across the organization. You will work closely with customers, carriers, owner-operators, and internal departments to gather information, review documentation, and assist in resolving cargo-related concerns. Leveraging your analytical skills and customer service experience, you will help identify risks, support process improvements, and provide guidance that strengthens cargo security and operational accountability.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Serve as a point of contact for customers, carriers, departments, and owner-operators regarding cargo-related incidents
  • Investigate, assess, and support the resolution of cargo issues
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving to analyze complex incidents
  • Review and verify documentation; obtain missing information as needed
  • Maintain records related to trailer safety locks, seals, and cargo incident tracking
  • Provide verbal coaching and assign training to agents and owner-operators on cargo prevention best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Minimum Experience and Education:



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of experience in the transportation industry


Preferred Experience and Education:



  • 1 year of experience in loss prevention
  • 1 year of experience in data analysis
  • 1 year of experience in CTPAT


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Well-organized with attention to detail
