Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Future Operations Training Analyst to support the US Navy in the Washington, DC area at the PMS 525 program office. As a Future Operations Training Analyst, you will analyze training requirements and program trends to develop data-driven recommendations, while coordinating with Manpower, Personnel, and Training stakeholders to plan and track training events. You will manage schedules and reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and MS Project, and prepare deliverables, briefings, and reports to support program objectives.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational Manpower, Personnel, and Training support across Foreign Military Sales programs
Analyze maritime training requirements and identify effective training solutions across U.S. Navy, OEM, and Professional Maritime Training venues
Develop, maintain, and refine complex training pipelines for foreign military students that support crew qualification and safe operation of a modern naval platform
Assess options and recommend solutions to complex scheduling, pipeline, and training execution challenges
Schedule course requirements for foreign military students in alignment with FMS case requirements, program objectives, and ship delivery timelines
Track training execution and metrics, and translate analytics into products to inform leadership decisions
Coordinate with government stakeholders, schoolhouses, and industry partners on course availability, training requirements, schedule changes, and execution issues
Prepare training presentations, correspondence, reports, briefs, and monthly updates
Communicate expectations regarding MPT plans, training reports, and related products
Education and Experience:
8 years of experience serving aboard a USN surface combatant (LCS-1 class preferred)
3 years of experience in Foreign Military Sales, international military student education and training, or DoD Security Assistance support.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to organize and analyze data, including management of complex linked spreadsheets
Ability to prepare reports, briefings, and formal correspondence.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, education, training, management, or a related technical/professional field
Active DoD Secret clearance
US Citizenship
Desired Education and Experience:
Experience supporting U.S. Navy training programs
Prior experience in training program management, maritime training operations, or headquarters staff support
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Agile planning experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and basic data analysis or data mining techniques
Work Location: Washington, D.C., telework options (1-2 days per week).
Travel: potential for travel (less than 5%)
