Security Officer - Gate Entry Driver

As a Security Officer - Gate Entry Driver in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced automotive location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, log visitors, and support routine patrols and perimeter checks to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage vehicle and pedestrian access, and help to deter unauthorized entry in an automotive manufacturing and/or distribution setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities per post orders and coordinating with site contacts as needed.
• Document access activity, incidents, and irregular conditions in written reports and electronic logs, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for security-related concerns and reporting maintenance and/or operational issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
