Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a healthcare location, completing routine rounds, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor processing, including checking identification when required, issuing temporary badges when applicable, and directing individuals to the appropriate destination per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, coordinating with site leadership and/or local responders, and providing clear updates to supervision.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate relevant observations during shift handoff and/or through established reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
