Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Bakersfield, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering standout customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrols and quick assistance across the property. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, stock areas, and perimeter such as sidewalks and parking areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and potential theft indicators, report concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as directed, and support loss prevention efforts through visible presence and professional communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, alarms, and/or facility issues, and assist with crowd and traffic flow during peak periods.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and client contacts, and assist with access control such as verifying deliveries, directing visitors, and checking restricted areas as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
