Security Officer - Patrol Driver Nights

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Nights in Manhattan Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and tenants with friendly customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover the property, communicate clearly with the team, and document observations and incidents with integrity while supporting a reliable, agile, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and exterior perimeter.
• Complete reports and activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor for suspicious or disruptive activity, help to deter policy violations, and provide directions and assistance to visitors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
