As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol buildings and grounds, conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support access points, observe and report concerns, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity in a caring culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to campus community members and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, requesting identification when directed by post orders, and/or reporting concerns through the established chain of command.
• Complete required reports and logs, document security-related incidents, and communicate noteworthy activity to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
