Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Rounds Patrol in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, responsive customer service, and calm presence, including around vaccine-related operations. Guided by Allied Universal values, you will act with integrity, collaborate with teammates, and adapt quickly as needs change.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting areas, and entrances and/or exterior areas such as parking lots and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting concerns, and requesting additional support as needed.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing doors, gates, and common areas, and by communicating directions and expectations to visitors and vendors.
  • Document patrol observations and incident details in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This hospital site requires compliance with vaccine requirements.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
