As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for service, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities while assigned to an armed patrol post.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by checking identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and/or screening visitors and vehicles in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and/or provide status updates to Allied Universal leadership and on-site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Possess Level III Armed Certification Texas Only.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
