Job Description

Maintains records and procedures per standardized record keeping practices. Provides expertise and assistance in records identification, determination of retention periods, storage and destruction methods. Provides support for short-term records and off-site records storage. Assists in processing information; sorts, classifies, analyzes and codes material into systems or into storage areas. Retrieves information for users and maintains accurate charge-out system where applicable.



Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.


Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to manage records necessary for day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborates on corporate/departmental records management procedure development.
  • Assists in conducting records inventories and updating of the retention schedule.
  • Prepares records for storage. May also initiate the disposition process.
  • Assists with records storage questions, education, preparation and implementation.
  • Manages requests for records retrievals.
  • Sorts and analyzes documents to determine official business record. Classifies records according to the corporate records retention schedule.
  • Evaluates and interprets document information to determine metadata.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 35+ pounds on a continual basis.
  • Demonstrated competency with computers and software - Word, Excel, Access

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Corporate Records or information management.
  • Knowledge of utility records systems.
  • 1 yr related work experience or records certification at the practitioner level (such as AIIM ERMP).

The pay range for this position is$53,200.00-$82,600.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
