Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol with Alarm Panel in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control needs, document observations, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and other security-related policies at a technology office campus.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
  • Monitor and report security-related conditions such as unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, escalating issues per post orders.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications using client systems and Allied Universal procedures, maintaining clear and timely documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
