As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access control by verifying credentials, supporting visitor and vehicle entry, and maintaining clear activity logs. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while delivering professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing traffic flow for cars, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, dispatching notifications per post orders, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, and/or identify hazards, open doors, and unusual conditions.
  • Monitor cameras and access control systems, complete shift reports and incident reports, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Loss Prevention - preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • X-Ray Screening Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
