Reporting to the Specialty Sales Manager (Moz & CastWorks), the Moz Regional Sales Mgr serves as a strategic partner and subject matter expert (SME) for all Moz solutions. Covering Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and the east coast (excluding Georgia & Florida), this role will engage with independent sales agents, corporate sales representatives, architects, contractors, distributors, and facility managers to influence specifications and drive the purchase of commercial ceiling and wall systems. This role is responsible for expanding opportunities within the existing client base and across the architecture and design (A&D) community. Close collaboration with the Inside Sales Team, Customer Service, Marketing, and management supports long-term customer relationships and repeat business.

What You'll Do

Technical Expertise & Product Leadership

  • Serve as the SME for all Moz solutions, including metals and finishes, interior/exterior metal types, suspension and framing systems, product applications, VE options, modified standard and custom products, and competitor capabilities.
  • Advise architects, designers, and contractors on correct product selection, application, and installation methods.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings; develop project take-offs and prepare technical packages for the Estimating Department.

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage and prospect sales leads; qualify leads using web research, SFDC, and other tools.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Track and secure project opportunities from specification through bid to closure using SFDC.
  • Develop standardized product specifications using critical thinking, tiered product evaluations, and detailed knowledge of building design.
  • Proactively identify target customers and create engagement strategies.
  • Expand the client base by calling on new accounts as needed.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Facilitate communication between Independent Rep Agencies and the corporate sales team to ensure alignment with plant capabilities.
  • Participate in monthly job follow-up meetings with Independent Rep Agencies.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and management to enhance customer experience.

Customer Engagement & Market Presence

  • Conduct library update meetings, lunch-and-learns, local exhibits, and trade show participation to increase product awareness and specifications.
  • Set project outline meetings and service accounts at the local level.
  • Process quotes and invoices with the in-house estimator.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for clients and internal teams.
  • Onboard, train, and manage independent representatives within the region.
  • Build strong working relationships with representatives to ensure aligned values, strategies, and objectives.
  • Assign accountabilities with monthly metrics to ensure representative sales goals are met.
  • Plan, manage, and attend trade shows and conferences; assist representatives with show planning and conduct follow-up assessments.

  • Architectural understanding and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong relationship management, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Working knowledge of construction, contracting, and specification sales.
  • Effective collaborator and communicator with leadership capability.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam.
  • Ability to onboard, train, and support independent representatives.
  • Skilled in developing/delivering presentations and managing trade show activities.
  • Ability to set goals, assign accountabilities, and manage performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction, architectural sales, or specification-driven selling.
  • Experience working directly with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors in a consultative or technical sales capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience/success in architectural selling preferred.
  • Experience with commercial building materials, interior finishes, or metal panel systems preferred.
