National Grid is hiring an Analyst, Compliance Assurance for our Downstate, NY Business Compliance department. This role can be based in either Canarsie Brooklyn or Hewlett, NY.

The Role

The Analyst performs compliance assurance assessments of company and/or contractor personnel to ensure construction and maintenance activities are performed and documented with all applicable Federal and State code requirements, work methods, policies, and procedures.

What You'll Do
  • Manage engagement with NY state regulators, facilitate audits, respond to regulatory inquiries and compliance finding reporting
  • Conduct second line assurance reviews of functional and procedurally required records/documentation created in the field during installation, repair, or execution of mandated activities
  • Work closely with Operations to identify improvement opportunities based upon First and Second-Line Assurance results
  • Extract data and build reports using internal applications
  • Respond to field incidents as needed
  • Provide routine performance updates at Safety Briefs or Performance Hubs to help field operations personnel increase focus on areas of pipeline safety
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of pipeline safety programs for compliance with State and Federal Code, National Grid policies and procedures
About You
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of analytical experience required
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of analytical experience preferred
  • Familiarity with NY state natural gas regulations preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using Power Bi and other tools to analyze data and interpret data sets, develop executive level insights, and translate data into clear visual presentations required
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for development and delivery of presentations
  • Proven experience using direct persuasion to influence others using data, logic or a solid business case preferred
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills required
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$87,000 - $102,000 a year
