Security Officer - Electric Plant Patrol

As a Security Officer - Electric Plant Patrol in Jupiter, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor assigned areas, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, substations, and perimeter areas, documenting observations according to post orders.
• Control access at gates and entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor and contractor passes, maintaining logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and public responders as required and completing detailed incident reports.
• Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, and access control panels, reporting maintenance issues and unusual activity through established communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
