Job Summary:

The Medical Director, ADHD is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy. This role will collaborate cross functionally to support Medical Affairs brand planning, medical communications, field medical strategy, and life cycle strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Leads the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy.
  • Acts as the internal and external expert on clinical and medical information relevant to Supernus products.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Medical and Commercial Teams, including Research & Development, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Accounts, Regulatory, New Business Development, Legal, Human Resources, and other departments.
  • Assists Medical Affairs with internal and external management/development of medical materials for Managed Markets.
  • Assists with the identification of company grant, CME, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Engages appropriate vendors and consultants relevant to various Medical Affairs strategic initiatives.
  • Represents Supernus with various national thought leaders and at scientific and clinical congress meetings.
  • Leads and completes all Medical Affairs projects assigned by the Senior Director of Medical Affairs.


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Provides leadership and management in an effective manner consistent with Company Values towards defined Corporate Objectives.
  • Understands Company Policy and procedure to be able to guide direct reports appropriately.


Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • MD, PharmD, PhD, or other doctoral level degree with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in program development, cross-functional collaboration and scientific analyses and publications are strongly desirable.
  • Previous experience in psychiatry or neuroscience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in commercial or product market launches, medical affairs, or real -world evidence a plus.
  • Previous experience providing care and treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Travel: up to 20%.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $210,000 to $250,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

You also will be able to participate in a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to: health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401k company match, company paid life insurance and health and wellness benefits. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards, employee stock purchase programs and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program.
