Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic construction location, you will conduct routine foot and driving patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will build strong relationships through clear communication and customer service, while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first, always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including interior and exterior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing traffic flow, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
