Security Officer - Freight Yard Patrol

As a Security Officer - Freight Yard Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will watch access points, report concerns, and support a smooth flow of people and shipments through clear communication and helpful customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic flow, checking identification and/or visitor authorization and documenting entries, exits and deliveries per site policy.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and on-site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
