JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Global is an opportunity for those seeking an international education career. Pre-Arrival Advising, a unit of International Student and Scholar Advising (ISSA), is hiring Part-Time Staff to assist with initial document production for incoming international students. NOTE: U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency is required by the Department of Homeland Security access to SEVIS as a Designated School Official (DSO) for this position. Job duties include: Review and adjudication of I-20 requests for initial document production; Communicate with stakeholders and advise on matters relating to F-1 visas and arrival to the university; Maintain and update federal and university students records in SEVIS, Sunapsis, and LionPATH/PeopleSoft for compliance; Other duties as assigned. Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications; Adherence to confidentiality of student documents; Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; Ability to convey clear information to diverse and international populations. This position will be filled for in-person duties at the Malcom Building at Innovation Park in State College. This is a wage-payroll position requiring availability of 20 hours per week through August, with possible hours to continue in fall.
