What you will do The material handler operates a lift truck to transport and store supplies, material and product to production and assemble areas, moves finished goods to shipping areas, loads and unloads trucks inside and outside the buildings, ships/receives supplies, materials, and products. The Material Handler is responsible for keeping accurate records of material movement, maintaining storage locations and safe material handling practices. From bills of lading or packing lists, the Material Handler verifies incoming receipts for quantities and part numbers. The company reserves the right to rotate employees to other departments or work assignments within the organization as needed based upon skill set, production needs, etc. How you will do it
QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. Requires exceptional interpersonal and verbal communications skills. Must have a valid Tyco forklift driver's license. Significant knowledge of the material movement transactions in SAP required. Must be able to work in a sitting position 90% of the time. Balancing/Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Climbing/Crawling. Reaching above shoulder, at waist & below waist. Handling (gripping, holding, grasping) both hands. Talking (person to person, on phone, in group settings). Hearing (person to person, on phone, in group settings). Vision (near & far, peripheral & depth). The following training is required for this job position. Applicable Safety Training related to specific job tasks 80% minimum pass rate. ISO 9001 Quality Policy and all job specific procedures, work instructions, and use of applicable forms. Skills Assessment Level 1 and Enhanced Driver Test (30 days). Skills Assessment Level 2 (60 days). Skills Assessment Level 3 and MM Training Assessment (90 days). HazMat Training and Certification (within 6 months) ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY OBLIGATIONS Comply with the following Environmental, Health and Safety duties as a condition of employment:
HOURS 2p-12a M-TH w/OT as needed HIRING HOURLY PAY: Training pay $23.57, certified pay rate $24.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
