The Role:

As the Senior Director of Service Line Operations for Women's Health, you will be at the forefront of planning, developing, and executing robust programs within your service line. Based in Olympia, you will collaborate closely with the Providence Integrated Delivery Network to ensure that our initiatives are consistent and aligned with our mission. You'll lead operations across clinics and services, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality daily operations and advancing performance metrics. Your strategic vision will drive our mission forward, and your leadership will shape the future of healthcare delivery in our service area.

What You'll Do?



  • Program and Service Oversight: Lead operations across the IDN service line and region, advising leadership on facilities and equipment, collaborating with physicians and staff to resolve challenges, and supporting the development of patient care guidelines.
  • Mission and Values: Create a supportive environment for caregivers and patients, maintaining composure and professionalism in complex situations.
  • Quality and Regulatory Excellence: Establish and evaluate performance standards, ensure high-quality care aligned with system expectations, initiate quality improvement projects, meet regulatory requirements, and oversee policy development.
  • Financial Performance: Prepare annual budgets aligned with regional goals, manage department cost centers, adjust productivity standards, and analyze costs, productivity, and patient volumes.
  • Communication and Relationship Management: Communicate clearly, build strong relationships, promote services, conduct staff meetings, and engage in problem-solving across departments.
  • Leadership and People Management: Participate in committees, conduct performance evaluations, apply HR policies, monitor turnover, develop staff, and delegate responsibilities.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop departmental goals aligned with system priorities, track progress, and communicate insights to inform broader planning.
  • Operational Accountability: Provide direction to achieve clinic goals, manage program implementation, and ensure effective practice management across locations.
  • Performance Improvement: Participate in improvement work to strengthen quality and operational performance.


What You'll Bring?



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business or healthcare-related field required, Master's Degree in Health Administration, MBA, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in physician practice management, 8 years in leadership, with experience in a complex healthcare delivery environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Advanced financial, operational, planning, and organizational skills, excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities, strong accountability and performance management skills, independent judgment, and decision-making capability.
  • Attributes: Ability to motivate and empower teams, exceptional people skills, professionalism, and a high personal standard marked by urgency, creativity, integrity, and resilience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
