Responsibilities Assess nutritional needs for patients and families, providing targeted education and timely referrals to ensure continuity of care. Develop individualized plans of care using a collaborative, patient and familyfocused approach. Deliver exceptional care aligned with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Utilize strong criticalthinking skills and independent judgment to support patient outcomes. Maintain responsibility and accountability for the nutritional status of assigned patients. Provide clinical education for outpatient programs such as Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, inservice staff trainings, and requested community sessions Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics /Food and Nutrition from an accredited program. Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed by the state of Iowa or registry eligible Experience: 1-2 years of hospital clinical Dietetic preferred Other: Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to all the ages of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. Able to perform physical assessment on patients that meet the criteria. Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English. Basic computer knowledge using word, email, and internet.
