Job Overview Seeking multiple Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, and other surrounding areas/states. Some travel is required, and per diem will be provided when traveling. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of lowvoltage experience; however, individuals with technical schooling and handson training will also be considered. Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks and cabinets, running and terminating Cat6 and COAX cabling, installing faceplates, and performing testing and labeling. Additional duties include setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes for individual rooms, as well as assisting with building out server closets and network infrastructure. Work will take place both indoors and outdoors at school buildings, apartments, and similar facilities. There may also be occasional trenching or directional drilling. Technicians will take direction from project leads.
