Job Summary

Operates various types of high-pressure power washers to remove debris, paint, dirt, mold, grime, dust, mud, chewing gum and similar substances from a variety of surfaces throughout all campuses.

  • Operates high-pressure power washer to remove debris, paint, mold, grime, dust, mud, chewing gum and dirt from objects such as building, concrete surfaces, walkways, sidewalks, windows, etc, throughout the university. This includes using other cleaning materials to achieve desired results of cleaning and sanitation.
  • Ensures equipment is properly serviced, cleaned and maintained in good working order and condition; ensures the efficient use of materials and maintains adequate stock of cleaning supplies on the vehicle.
  • Provides necessary support to Facilities Management Events. Support Services. Remains on stand-by prior to, during and after University events. Handles all events related pressure cleaning work orders in a timely manner.
  • Responds to calls for emergencies and/or last minute events. Remains in radio contact with appropriate radio units.
  • Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.


Minimum Qualifications

Completion of 8th grade.

  • Experience pressure cleaning.
  • Ability to lift/pull/push up to 80 pounds.
