Overview

The Vice President, Cyber and Technology is responsible for translating strategic vision into operational execution across underwriting distribution and portfolio management. The VP, Cyber & Technology will oversee day-to-day division performance of the Company's cyber and technology underwriting strategy, which includes cyber, technology E&O, crime & fidelity, and alternative distribution products and offerings across multiple channels. The VP plays a critical role in managing the relationship with the Company's MGA business- driving underwriting discipline, compliance, and product innovation across all cyber and technology lines of business. This role requires a high degree of strategic acumen, leadership and collaboration - balancing executional rigor with the agility needed to respond to a rapidly evolving cyber and technology risk landscape.

The VP, Cyber & Technology works closely with team leadership, underwriting teams, brokers, and internal/external stakeholders to deliver innovative, market leading solutions in one of the fastest growing areas of commercial insurance. In addition, the VP, Cyber & Technology will maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values and will uphold the standards of the AmTrust organization. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Cyber and Technology.



Responsibilities

    Partners closely with the SVP, Cyber & Technology to implement multi-year strategic objectives, including premium growth, profitability, and portfolio diversification goals.
  • Mentors and develop underwriters within the division, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture.
  • Represents the division in both internal and external events and committees.
  • Translates division goals into measurable KPIs and helps track performance across underwriting, pricing, and operational functions.
  • Manages the Cyber & Technology program administrators (MGAs) -
    • Serves as the primary executive liaison to the MGA partners, ensuring contractual, operational, and underwriting performance standards are met.
    • Oversees delegated underwriting authority, audit processes, compliance adherence, and performance reporting.
    • Serves as a point of escalation for program underwriting operational or compliance issues.
    • Drives underwriting discipline, pricing oversight and alignment between MGA execution and carrier strategy.
  • Partners with product and technology teams to enhance underwriting platforms, automation capabilities, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Anticipates and responds to emerging cyber and technology risks, security trends, and insurance market conditions
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant industry-related experience
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills
  • Ability to make sound business decisions
  • Ability to communicate directly and succinctly
  • Displays high integrity and honesty

The expected salary range for this role is $120,500-$225,000/year.
