RF and Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about investigating RF and microwave challenges and working with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical solutions? As an RF and Microwave Engineer on our National Security team, you will be at the forefront of technology, designing, developing, integrating, and testing RF circuits, antennas, and other RF or microwave elements into comprehensive systems for signal collection missions.

You'll join a highly skilled team dedicated to creating innovative solutions for national security applications. As an RF and Microwave Engineer, you'll guide the architecture and implementation of RF solutions and analysis.

You will address complex problems using practical engineering principles and methodologies, delivering solutions that redefine what's possible in RF engineering. You will have autonomy to make impactful decisions, technically contribute, and help shape technical project directions. You Have:

  • Experience with RF or microwave components, including amplifiers, frequency converters, RF switches, attenuators, mixers, oscillators, filters, and antennas, and metrics such as signal to noise and noise figure
  • Experience with time or frequency distribution using multiple instruments
  • Experience with RF measurement tools such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
  • Experience with MATLAB or Python, and GitHub for data processing applications and software or algorithm development
  • Experience integrating software and hardware using FPGA design and unifying multiple hardware components into a single command and control structure
  • Ability to characterize RF components, and troubleshoot and debug RF hardware and code in a lab setting
  • Ability to learn and grow in a dynamic engineering environment, adapt to evolving technical needs, and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform trade studies for RF hardware and make hardware recommendations
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Science

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with RF or microwave design techniques such as electromagnetic (EM) simulation
  • Knowledge of lab automation and scripting to streamline testing processes and data acquisition
  • Knowledge of signal or data processing techniques and algorithms
  • Possession of excellent analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
